Allegro™ Field ComputBullhorn wireless remote monitoringer

The Allegro Field Computer is the industry’s most advanced, rugged, and versatile hand-held computer for gathering and managing pipeline and facility cathodic protection and field inspection data. The unit is a powerful Windows CE pen-based field computer with integral voltmeter and cathodic protection software applications optimized for use by pipeline field technicians including:

  • Periodic Survey: The Periodic Survey software is designed to capture monthly, bi-monthly, and annual inspection data for test points, rectifiers, bonds, tanks, valves, pressure control devices, atmospheric inspection, leak surveys and other field data gathering requirements.
  • Close Interval Survey: Easy touch screen set-up and direct interface with chainers and probes makes Close Interval surveys an easy task. The captured data can be downloaded to the PCS Close Interval Survey Manager or exported to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The software is capable of automatically capturing GPS longitude and latitude coordinates while performing the survey.
  • Advanced Options: Advanced options include Global Positioning System (GPS) proprietary location and mapping software; internal bar code readers; built-in Windows software including an Excel-compatible spreadsheet, Microsoft Pocket Word, and PC Link for one touch communication between the Allegro and host computer using Microsoft ActiveSync software. The Allegro is designed to seamlessly interface with AI ’s PCS cathodic protection software (CP software) or other customer-proprietary data management software systems.
  • Digital Volt Meter: The Allegro becomes a full function multi-meter with On/Off and graphing capabilities.
  • GPS Status: Displays longitude, latitude, and elevation information you can copy directly into any application.

The Allegro allows corrosion technicians to collect cathodic protection data, GPS coordinates and other pipeline field data, and transport and download this information directly into a data management system. As the Allegro is a field computer, additional data processing and analysis functions have been integrated into the unit, allowing for the manipulation of data while the user is still in the field. As a result the Allegro can perform multiple tasks such as corrosion data collection and analysis, form data entry, data processing, as well as GPS coordinate line mapping.

By combining instrumentation and pipeline-specific software into one integrated tool, the Allegro improves both the productivity and accuracy of a company’s pipeline management program.
